Like the original silencer, the system has no exhaust valves. In order to preserve the aesthetics of the vehicle, the tailpipes are kept in the same design style as the 288 GTO’s OEM Design.
Originally a one-off, bespoke exhaust system for the exclusive 288GTO. This system was built for a customer to maximize the cars inherent performance and extracting the best possible acoustic profile from the 288GTO’s race-derived engine.
The Capristo system is very light with a weight well under 10kg.
Made of T309 (1.4828) stainless Steel,the 288GTO exhaust has the added benefit of giving the owner a way to protect the originality of the OEM exhaust (a weak point if the car is driven as it is fabricated of mild steel).
